Ink Portal

Old ancient book, older than the dust
Encasing the folds of mysteries
Sitting alone, forgotten
On an old shelf, patient

Its pages are filled with ink
It could be a book about enchantment
Or a portal to another world
More rich than any could have dreamed

Its withered pages fluttering under my breath
The ink fading now, as cracked as the leather cover
Stretched to its limit, its binding broken
Its dusty smell, the smell of ancient time

Old pages, old memories, old ink
The writer long since forgotten
The book remembers, remembers through the ages

The book's casing can wither and die
But the words are there

They still live and breathe like always
Like memoirs on graves of the dead
It remains, though much else is lost

Here through the ink portal
The words are never forgotten

Demon Walls

Read the dark scriptures
On the walls of death
Messages from beyond
The grave
Tortured souls
Darkness abounds
Tales of lost secrets
Kept hidden in the dungeons
Calligraphy discovery
On the edge of the earth
Silent stars invoke the night
The pale moon glows
In the magnificent light
Cave of darkness
A world away
Red and bleeding
Wounds on the battlefield
Tortured souls
Never to leave
Scriptures of truth
Carved in stone
Never to forget
Remember us
Remember us

Iridescent Eyes

I was climbing up a tree,
And I saw in front of me,
A butterfly wing
That made the birds sing

I reached out to touch it,
But couldn't quite reach it,
So I jumped out to grab it,
And in my hand I crushed it

I fell to the ground,
With a resounding thudding sound,
And when I landed in the mote,
The wing was shoved down my throat

I swallowed hard and it slid right down
Because of the taste I began to frown
Then I started to float in the sky
And I saw in my reflection
I had an Iridescent Eye

Icicles

Spires of ice
Hang from my window
Rainbows encased in frozen water
Hanging, hanging
Don't want to be under when it falls
It may never fall
Simply drip into oblivion
When Spring time comes

Siren

She calls to you from
The dark ocean
A vast infinite turquoise
Green lair
Her song cascades down
As the water falls
All-encompassing
Shrouded by a black cloak of mist
As a Ship sails in
Hypnotically transfixed
The Siren sings again

Eclipse

Eternal Eclipse
Darkness reigns
No longer exists
Released, we are free
At night we roam
A graveyard we own
The place we left
An empty tomb
Mortals beware
At every turn
We're everywhere
With our
Crimson smiles
Giving in to
Our desires

Broken Dolls

Porcelain face, cloudy blue eyes
Scarlet red lips, glass heart
Lifeless smile
Your broken doll
Perfect hair, perfect body
Perfect lies, perfect everything
You dress me up, comb my hair
Model me the way you want me to be
Tied up in laces, caked with perfume
Erases the hidden flaws
When you get bored with me
You put me back on the shelf
To play with me later
As I slowly decay and frost
Do you love me now?
I gazed in the mirror
And see lies surfacing a pain
That's all it is, is lies
I don't see the real me
Just someone who you want me to be
Someone I'll never become
My hollow eyes stared at the nothingness
As I pull off this mask
Revealing the truth, what the mirror can't see
But you don't like me this way
I'm hideous
I'm not real to you anymore
What if I was a paper doll?

Insomniac

Restless I lie with a twitching eye
In a darkened room devoid of light
This perpetual phase
Traps me for days
Eternally awake in a never-ending night

Shadows on the ceiling fabricate faces
Glimpsing dreams that my pillow erases
Outside the window, shadows reflected
I stare at them senseless,
Slumber rejected

Nocturnal visions have ceased to exist
Sleep has been dismissed
Circadian rhythms drumming off beat
No dream. No sleep.
Wake up. Repeat.

The Judgment

Tomorrow will be Judgment day
Our stars are about to fall
Once fates are sealed and moral
Catechisms completed
Our actions will betray us all

Sunrise

Red giant
Towering apocalypse
Burning white
Blistering scarred earth
A beaten world
Defeated by the enemy
Of life
Alien land
Forgotten, alone, at peace
No wars can break
Strength in the darkness
Of the unborn star
Growing Sun
For the last stand
Takes the hand
Pushes out
From the womb of space
The human race
Has been destroyed
By the giant ray
Crushing brutality
As earth is eaten up
A tasty snack for
The monster
Once gave earth life
Can take it
Back in a flash
Moving on
Hears the Planets calling
Earth can not reply
Now is your time to die

The Wedding

She enters in a blood stained dress and a scarlet veil
Followed by an entourage from the depths of hell
The hall is filled with people seldom seen
For they come to the wedding of their Witch Queen
A hunchback enters carrying a crown and ring
Then he arrives the majestic Crimson King
He sits on a throne of silver and gold
As he watches the party unfold
The bell rings and the people start to sing
For he now takes her for his
Bride in the court of the Crimson King

Dreams Of Night

Moon and stars
In Milk-pool whirl

Earth reflects nature's tastes
In dreams of night

Cosmos

Buildings tall
Intertwining
Grand mathematical homes
Square and rigid
Modernistic cosmopolitan
Silver and shiny
Full of awe
At beauty in architecture
Complex patterns
Structures non-linear
Crossing and dividing
Building a maze
You can never escape

Frozen Pool

Dreams cascade down the
Flowing pool of water
Diamond rocks
Glisten underneath
Mist from the dew
Rises up to engulf it
Falling, falling into a bottomless pit
A sanctuary for the dead
Bones rotting
Alone, forgotten
Inside a cave
Her dreams are ice
Frozen in time
Mirage of colour
Blue, opal and green
Cosmic wonders
Of a nocturnal dream
Crystal scars
Locked beneath the skin
Smashed, broken
The tiny pieces shattered so thin

Nightmare

Last night I dreamed I killed you
I couldn't let you live
I had all night to will you
I'm obsessive
I know all about your ways
Subtle whispers told me
How you run your nights and days
I thought you had died before
But you ran fast bloody faced
When I caught you
Lost in death's embrace
Awaken in gory crimson screaming
I realized that I was never dreaming

Gentle Ghosts

Dreams,
Fragile beauty of the mind
Sky-colours that slip between the sheets
And paint the night with memories

Gentle ghosts, they are
That live within
And wait for night to emerge
From the frosts of day

Echo

In the labyrinth of Stalactite caves,
Hear the Echo of crashing waves,
Wandering in a cavern of black and grey,
For the Echo fades everyday,

Rise to the roof exposed by a shaft of light,
As I look into the rays blasting down.
My call comes to me on waves of time,
Carried by the Echo over walls of lime,

An oasis beach, with trees of palm,
With dolphins swimming around so calm.
From an outlet above water cascades down like snow.
And splashing sounds fill the air on the Echo.

Needles Of Earth

Knit us back together
Hold the needles in place
Build our cities
Out of wool
And our trees of silk
Use time as the spindle
Create our cover
From the darkness
Criss Cross
Pearl and knit
Only a little bit
Fix everything in one stitch
Let the needles do the talking
Before it's too late
Before we become
The land that they forgot

Exit

A dark and twisted dream  With no seeming end  Search for exits  From this hell within  Nothing fills this empty void  Nothi...
